About Zaynab
Zaynab is an Australian-Iraqi psychologist with professional experience in the UAE and the United Kingdom. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Stirling and an MSc in Clinical Applications of Psychology from Kingston University London. She provides psychotherapy in both English and Arabic.
Zaynab works with a broad range of psychological and emotional concerns, including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, identity and self-exploration, and life transitions. She has a particular interest in cultural and intergenerational conflict, diaspora and third-culture experiences, as well as gender and sexuality. Her multicultural background gives her a nuanced understanding of the challenges surrounding family expectations, cultural values and a sense of belonging.
Her therapeutic approach integrates psychodynamic and person-centred therapy. She helps clients explore how past experiences, relationships and cultural influences may shape their present emotions and patterns of behaviour.
Warm, empathetic and collaborative, Zaynab creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore difficult emotions and experiences at their own pace. She works collaboratively with clients to deepen self-understanding, navigate personal challenges and make meaningful changes in their lives.
